Shahbaz Ahmed Qazi is a European board certified interventional radiologist. He graduated from Sindh Medical College Karachi Pakistan in 1994 and started his radiology residency in 1996 and finished his Pakistan highest radiology board(FCPS) in 2002. His Initial IR career begins in Karachi in SIUT where after he moved to Saudi Arabia in 2004 where he matured his working IR experience in King Khalid University Hospital. In 2009 he becomes the fellow of Royal College of Radiologist UK. In 2011 he joined the National Guards Health affairs Riyadh.
Dr. Qazi is keenly involved in teaching academic activities of IR in his department. He represents his department and their institutional work in world international IR forum either through posters or is speaker. He is a member of Saudi Society of IR, the Interventional Radiological Society of Pakistan and CIRSE. He is the brainchild of development of IR in the Pakistan. He is founder of VIC famous IR teaching course in Pakistan.
Dr. Qazi is visiting faculty of Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi Pakistan developed the VIR setup in the medical imaging department which is providing the low cost quality care IR services to the people of Pakistan. He started the IR fellowship program in that institution which is the 3rd IR fellowship program in the Pakistan. He is involved in many new projects of IR in Pakistan for providing facilities to patient and development of new institutions.
